MEET DR. EISNER
Dr. Richard Eisner is Central Georgia’s LASIK eye surgery authority. He has performed over 25,000 LASIK procedures on many of your friends and family members. More Central Georgians have had LASIK here than in all other local practices combined. There are other practices that offer laser vision correction but none offer the combination of experience, technology, and one-on-one interaction that Dr. Eisner brings to this area.

Dr. Eisner’s premedical education in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering served as a stimulus to his interest in ophthalmology and laser vision technology. He furthered his education in order to be one of the best laser surgeons. His education includes:
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas
- Graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Washington University
- Degree of Medicine at Texas Tech University School of Medicine
- Family Practice Internship in Lubbock
- Four-year residency program in Ophthalmology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences
Dr. Eisner’s experience exceeds education. In 1984, Dr. Eisner started his practice in diseases and surgery of the eye. He has performed all aspects of general eye care, including cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and pediatric eye care.
In 1991, Dr. Eisner began performing the (pre-laser) refractive procedure known as radial keratotomy and not long after, began specializing in refractive surgery. As a result, when the Food and Drug Administration approved LASIK in 1996, Dr. Eisner was already experienced to perform the procedure. He was the first ophthalmologist in Central Georgia to perform LASIK. He is Central Georgia’s most experienced laser eye surgeon due to successfully treating thousands of patients in this area.
Dr. Eisner specializes exclusively in laser vision correction. Our patients have travelled as far as South America, Mexico, California, Oklahoma, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia to have him perform their surgery.
